New Nurse Mishaps

Did you know it is possible to snap the tie in scrub pants???

It really is amazing what you can do with nurses tape. They tell you in school that nursing is about science and being able to pick up on the little things and knowing how to prevent a patient from getting hurt.


 What they don't tell you is nursing is kinda like being an inventor.....
 (Ok, maby not quite this weird, but yes this inventive)

I love my job and am learning SO MUCH every day. It's busy, it's not easy, but it's exactly where i want to be.

Me, Myself, and What???

So, I suppose a little about me may be in order?

SOOO I'm a new pediatric nurse. I'm a vegetarian. I'm a Disney buff. My favorite place to be is the beach. I'm a christian. I'm terrified of heights. ummm what else??? I like fast car movies. I have a huge family. My first love was peter pan. I seriously dislike asparagus.

OK so there's a little about me.

So life is crazy but I feel so blessed. I have the job of my dreams. I get to spend time with my family that I'm very close too. I'm done with "ever so stressful" college and I have the most amazing, sweet, understanding boyfriend ever. But I also get the curve ball too. My grandfather has stage 4 melanoma and its scary. My closest friends live across the country.

We also all just found out this week that my boyfriend's dad has very serious cancer and it's really hard to see them going through this. It's scary and it's hard try to keep everybody's chin up. BUT, I have an amazing, steadfast, powerful, and understanding God.

My verse for today through all this is:

I love you Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer. My God is my rock, in who  I take refuge. He is my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. I call out to the Lord, who is worthy of praise, and I am saved from my enemies. Psalm 18:1-3

Also, very random. I made Hummus today for the first time. It was amazing!!! (not quite as pretty as this pic, but so yummy)

Trying out new recipes as I am a rather new vegetarian. I'm soooooo glad vegetarians can still have chocolate. I don't know if I could survive without it some days.

Ok, so taa-daa!!! I have a blog. So you may ask, why did I call my blog ebu-justkeepswimming? Here's a hint! This is my role model ;)
